Some helpful advice from Stowe Boyd on keeping your RSS feeds fresh:

Randomly drop 20% of your RSS feeds every month or so. Sure, if you stumble back upon an old favorite, and they catch your interest again, add them back in. But spend a chunk of time out there trying new voices, building new social connections, new sources of meaning. It’s the only way to stay green, the only way to break with the Blogger’s Curse. The stuff you love will tie you down in cobwebs unless you actively break the links, and read new, unknown and possibly bad writers.

My own list of RSS feeds has grown stale. I added a slew of new feeds by following bloggers’ “it” tagging during the “Four Things” meme craze back in February, but not many in the three months since.

+50 RSS Feeds
And so, to ensure that I stay away from the abyss that is the the “Blogger’s Curse,” I’m challenging myself to identify 50 new and interesting RSS feeds over the next 50 hours (Update after 52 hours: I’m still chugging along, but am not yet at 50) that I can add to my Bloglines account.

I’ll be posting those feeds here as I go along.
