John Molori of Media Blitz devotes most of his column this week to the popularity of “fan sites” — most of them blogs — about the Boston Red Sox, my hometown baseball team and object of unwavering and lifelong devotion.
Among the sites mentioned by Molori are Call of the Green Monster, Boston Dirt Dogs (a feature of Boston.com), Sons of Sam Horn, SoxProspects.com, fenwayfanatics.com, and The Joy of Sox, all of which chronicle the Boston nine in their own unique and passionate way.
To that list I would add two Sox blogs that I follow regularly — Daryl Sng’s Singapore Sox Fan and the humorous Soxaholix, from “Hart Brachen“. The latter is a rare blog that is best consumed outside of an RSS reader, as its posts are presented in comic-strip form and feature unique characters.
And then there are the MSM Sox blogs, including Clubhouse Insider and the on-fire Extra Bases, which produced no fewer than 20 posts yesterday!
