First, there was BarCamp. Then, CaseCamp came along.

And now, thanks to the efforts of the passionate New England Podcasting group, PodCamp is on its way.

In keeping with the sprit of its sister “Camps,” PodCamp will be a free “unconference,” organized grassroots style through an open wiki. It will bring together podcasters and their listeners, bloggers and their readers, and, in general, anyone interested in or enthusiastic about new media. We’ll share best practices, make short and interactive presentations, produce mashups, network, and learn!

The inaugural PodCamp — unless someone beats us to it! — is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of August 19-20, somewhere in the Greater Boston area.
