Some quick thoughts about 12 hours before my wife, daughter, and I head off for a six-day vacation to Montreal and Quebec City, Canada:

  • Really looking forward to meeting Mitch Joel this Tuesday evening at CaseCamp Montreal. Mitch is the host of the outstanding new-marketing podcast, Twist Image Six Pixels of Separation, and he and I have trade several e-mails over the past couple of weeks. Don’t be surprised to find a podcast mashup in this space not long after I return.
  • Being a good blogger requires discipline, something I clearly haven’t mastered yet. While the past week has included a higher-than-usual level of “offline” commitments, including my sister-in-law’s impromptu wedding on Thursday, I still should have found some time for blogging. This is my first non-podcast blog post in eight days - yikes! I need to do better, and I will.
  • Poked around Second Life for a couple of hours over the weekend. I’m still trying to find my way around, but I did managed to locate the FIR Store on Podcast Island. Some very cool things are happening in Second Life, and business opportunities abound. I certainly plan to spend more time there in the weeks to come. My Second Life Name? Zeke Barber.
  • Thirty-four people have already registered for the still-venueless PodCamp Boston, scheduled to take place on September 9-10. If you are a school or a business that can accommodate between 150-250 people for two days, drop me a line: bryan-AT-bryper.com. Also, take a listen to our promo for the event below.

I’ll try and check in once or twice from Canada!
