I’ve had some good e-mail back-and-forths with “MyChingo” devleoper Michael Bailey. He isn’t a Spanish speaker and didn’t have any idea what “chingo” meant. That said, he’s now heard the concerns of many, who have kindly suggested he ditch the “chingo” (message to code-switchers: you might want to skip over that last sentence). Michael tells me that the service will be relaunched with a new-and-improved name within the next week. And from what I can gather, it’s a clean one!
