One of the biggest attractions of podcasts for me is their portability. Thanks to my trusty iRiver iFP-899, I can down my favorite shows and then listen to them just about anywhere … or doing just about anything.
In my case, I regularly listen to podcasts when I’m:
I also listen to podcasts directly at my desktop computers, both at home and in the office. Here, podcasts provide good audio background when I’m doing a repetitive task or light web surfing.
As podcasts are portable, they’re also flexible. I can listen to part of an episode while commuting to work in the morning and then finish it when headed home in the evening. Somehow, For Immediate Release, which regularly clocks in at 60-90 minutes per episode, seems to fit the bill for this scenario.
How do you take in your favorite podcasts?

05|Aug|2006 2Chris, as I recall, your Episode 300 was probably tops on my list! Very good inspiration for all podcasters! Keep it up.

05|Aug|2006 3The one place I don’t listen is when sitting in front of the computer. I get too distracted and always need to rewind as I suddenly notice I missed the last 5 minutes or so.
Rewind? I probably should descrive this term to some of your younger readers

09|Aug|2006 5Hi Bryan – great site!
And I thought I was the only one that listened to podcasts while doing dishes! My other prime pod time is while I’m out running. A really good discussion and the miles just seem to fly by.
