My girl has been six for a little while now, so I haven’t had to deal with that for a few years, but hearing it happen to you took me right back to that place when she was still in her first year. You’d get a little bit of peace and quiet and then, just as you were settling down and getting used to it, WAAAAHHHH!!! thanks for not rerecording the end. I liked it so much, I played the last 4 minutes for my wife.

As for Twitter, at first I didn’t like it. Thought it was a waste of time and energy. Turns out it was the early adopters that I thought were wasting time (my time, actually) by posting anything they thought of (walking to the library; studying; having breakfast). However, I’ve seen some people using it quite effectively. Mitch Joel was the first to really make me sit up and take notice of what he was doing with Twitter.

I guess my thought (and there are certainly schools of thought other than mine) is that, I don’t really care that you were taking a shower. However, I’d love to know what you figured out while taking that shower. Did you come up with a new solution? An interesting insight? A new theory that you are going to try out? Actually, I’m sure we could do an entire Podcast about what amazing thoughts people have while in the shower. The number of ‘a-ha’ moments I have in the shower is quite large. Hmmm… I feel as thought i’ve opened myself up for some interesting comments with this last paragraph. However, it stands as posted.

Too many technologies, too little free time.

My girl has been 6 for a little while now, so its been a few years, but it just totally took me back to that place when she was in her first year, and out of nowhere, when you FINALLY had a few minutes of peace and quiet and were just starting to enjoy it, WAAAAHHHHHH!!!! Still can’t get over it. Lol. Thanks for not re-recording the close.

So much stuff, so little free time. I’m seeing twitter being used for some interesting applications myself, but a lot of it still seems somewhat mundane to me, so far. As I said to Mitch, please don’t tell me you’re taking your dog for a walk. Instead, tell me what you figured out while you were walking. If you thought of a great new idea, or a way to do something, THAT I want to hear.
