A new, experimental service from Dave Winer called TwitterGram makes it easy to post audio Twitter messages.
Here’s what you do:
That’s it. A Twitter message is generated straight away, with a link to the mp3 file that you’ve uploaded. Here’s how the TwitterGram I just created about PodCamp Boston 2 looks in Twitter:

I’ve also attached the audio file below. If you’re using an RSS reader, you may need to click through to the blog to see the Flash audio player.
Hat tip to Neville Hobson, who also posts about several other “cool ways to use Twitter.”

27|Jun|2007 2Boris:
I tried either TwitterMail or a similar service a few weeks ago, after reading a post by Steve Rubel.
To be truthful, I don’t have a need to post a Twitter message from my e-mail. I can post directly to the Twitter site or through a site like Twitku. If I’m out and about, I can also post directly to Twitter from my mobile phone.
Are there some potential applications of TwitterMail that I haven’t thought of yet?

27|Jun|2007 3@bryan: yeah: TwitterMail also notifies you when people post an “@Bryan” message. That way you never miss anything…
You can also schedule posts by putting a time in the subject or get the last 20 messages from your friends in one message by putting ‘friends’ in the subject.
Pretty convenient!
