Christopher S. Penn and John Wall were talking in a recent episode of Marketing Over Coffee about a simple way to give your blog a bit of extra Google juice: add your own posts to your shared Google Reader feed.
I’ve already written about the value of sharing interesting posts from others. But what about your posts? They have plenty of value, too — and by including them in your publicly shared Google Reader feed, you’ll also be generating meaningful incoming links back to your site. Google likes that. Technorati does, too.
Great tip, guys — and thanks to Mitch Joel for the reminder in episode 65 of the Six Pixels of Separation podcast.

20|Aug|2007 1I heard that podcast too. It’s a great idea. It can have some organizational value as well. Most of us have multiple blogs or podcasts and have a flickr page. You can use that page as the “master” page of your digital work. You can have links to your MySpace page or your Facebook page or all your RSS feed.
They old reason I haven’t started mine is that I was in the car when I heard it. Those two are amazing.

20|Aug|2007 2Wow, was I smacking myself on the head when I heard Penn drop that bomb on Marketing Over Coffee.
So basic. So simple. So smart.

28|Dec|2007 3[…] Bryan Person heard about it from Marketing Over Coffee and thinks it’s a good idea, as do his two commenters. Bill Deys wrote about it too. […]

24|May|2008 4Good Tip! I have not ever thought about doing that. Sometimes the most simplistic of ideas are the hardest ones to realize. Thanks
