I’ve got the topic of “meeting people” on my mind. After all, Social Media Breakfast 2 is taking place tomorrow morning in Waltham, Massachusetts (Are you going? There’s still time to register), and I’m looking forward to spending time with friends and colleagues, both old and new.

I’m pleased to announce that Social Media Breakfast 2 will take place on Wednesday, October 3 at 8:00am, at the offices of the Digital Influence Group in Waltham.
The inaugural breakfast last month was a runaway success, and I expect SMB2 to be bigger and better. Please help spread the word by telling three friends/colleagues.

I like David Cutler’s takeaways from the first Social Media Breakfast, held this past Wednesday in Boston:
The tools and reach of online technology enable us to set up meaningful in-person meetups.
Practice “netweaving.”
What is netweaving? Here’s what David writes:

Twenty-five participants. Dozens of great conversations. New connections. Delicious — and free — food.
Yes, the inaugural Social Media Breakfast held Wednesday morning at The Pour House in Boston was unquestionably a success.

Chip Griffin from CustomScoop has just offered to sponsor tomorrow morning’s “anything-goes social media breakfast” in Boston. This means that CustomScoop will pick up the tab, and you can save your small bills.
Thanks, CustomScoop!
Disclosure: CustomScoop is a regular sponsor of my New Comm Road podcast.

There’s a very good why I’m cooking — or pretending to — in a Facebook video and not at tomorrow’s 8:00am social media breakfast: I want to make sure you don’t end up with a stomach ache.
Alas, becoming a world-class chef — or even a halfway decent one — has never been my calling. Fortunately, […]

This isn’t a post about bacn — though that may be coming soon; it’s a post about bacon. And eggs. And pancakes, too.
I’m talking about the good old-fashioned breakfast food that will be on the menu at the Pour House in downtown Boston next Wednesday 8:00am, when some of the best and brighest from Boston’s […]
This Wednesday night I’ll be meeting up for drinks with Joe Thornley, CEO of the Canadian PR firm Thornley Fallis.
Joe will be in town for the Enterprise 2.0 conference, which I unfortunately won’t be attending myself.
The plan is for Joe and I to meet at 7:00 in the Back Bay area. If you’re […]
Couldn’t resist linking to this video of the “running of the Boston brides” — delivered, ironically, by the BBC.
Hey, we Bostonians just love a good bargain!
Imagine what will happen at some of those “Midnight Magic Parties” next month when the final Harry Potter book is released.
